This set of 5 fineliners was a great find for me. They glide smoothly over pencil lines and don't smudge when erased. The packaging says they're waterproof, and they really are. I tested them with watercolor, and the ink held up. The sizes are clearly marked on both the top and bottom of each fineliner.
I recently tried this set of 5 fineliners and I'm impressed with the quality. The set includes five different sizes, ideal for various uses, from fine details to bold lines. The ink flows smoothly and evenly, without skipping or smudging. The pigment is rich and dark, which is important for high-contrast drawings. The fineliners are also waterproof and lightfast.
These fineliners are a pleasure to use. I especially like the 0.8 mm size. They have a nice amount of resistance against the paper without dragging or skipping. The set offers five line widths, which is enough for almost any project. The ink flows nicely, but not too freely, so you have plenty of control. I tested the waterproof claim, and it really works, but you need to wait about two minutes for the ink to dry completely before painting.

I've tried several gesso primers, and many are either too thin or too thick. Winsor & Newton White Gesso is just right. It goes on smoothly and evenly. It takes two coats for full coverage, but I always apply several coats to get a good working surface. It's easy to sand and works well with both oil and acrylic paints.
This was my first time using gesso. It went on my watercolor pad easily. It's very smooth and tinted well. I used a little burnt sienna. I'm very happy with it.
I'd never tried clear gesso before, but I decided to give it a try, and painting on canvas was SO SMOOTH! I applied 2 coats, and that was enough. A smooth canvas is important for my detailed work. I wish it came in larger bottles.
Really nice gesso. It does what it's supposed to and does it well. The price is pretty good. When this bottle runs out, I think I'll buy a larger size for even better value.
Basically boring. But I don't expect gesso to be exciting. It's not as chalky and soft as the old homemade version. On the plus side, it lasts forever.
I use it in my sketchbook, and it provides a really good surface for acrylic gouache and oil pastels, which I love combining.
