Schmincke AQUA-Fix Medium for Watercolors 60 ml
Schmincke AQUA-Fix Medium for Watercolors 60 ml
Schmincke AQUA-Fix medium for watercolors is used instead of water when painting with watercolors. It dries water-resistant. It increases the water resistance of the painting, preventing it from dissolving again when painting over it, for example with the glazing technique. Under no circumstances should the product get into watercolor pans. Remember to mix it separately on a palette! The product is mixable with water, but dries insoluble in water, so the artwork can no longer be painted over. Shake well before use. Professional artists around the world seek out products from the Schmincke brand for their high quality and wide selection.

Thanks to this medium, my watercolor layers finally don't bleed when I add more brushstrokes. It's made a huge difference to my technique.
A great little product that I appreciate with every layered painting.
A little pricey, but being able to paint with water-resistant colors makes it a clear investment in my supplies.
I use it in classes at school, and I have to say it's really intuitive to work with and gives consistent results.
I tried it on a friend's recommendation, and it really does make paints behave better.
