Fine Watercolor Ground AQUA-Grund Schmincke 250 ml
AQUA-Grund Fine by Schmincke is used as a ground for painting with watercolors. It is a white primer that is lightfast and resistant to aging, for grease-free watercolor surfaces such as canvas, cardboard, or wood. It dries to form an elastic, matte, smooth film. It is also recommended for mixed media techniques combining watercolor with acrylic or oil (allowing you to use watercolors on canvas), or for painting on specific materials.
How to use:
Shake before use or briefly stir if needed. AQUA-Grund is ready to use and should be applied undiluted to the surface in at least 3 coats. If diluted (with up to 10% water), more coats are needed. Always allow the previous coat to dry completely before applying the next. Once dry, it can be painted over directly with watercolors. If needed, the undried product can be tinted with watercolor or acrylic paint. Never let the medium get into watercolor pans. If needed, mix it separately on a palette. Clean tools with water or soap and water immediately after use. Close the container immediately after use.
