Schmincke Watercolor Paint Set in Tubes, Super Granulation, Set of 5 x 15 ml

Horadam Super Granulation Aquarell Set contains 5 granulating watercolors in 15 ml tubes. The paints are stored in an elegant wooden box bearing the Schmincke brand logo. Artists increasingly favor granulating paints for the special effect they create. The paints may look pale, but this effect is desired in certain techniques. Granulation means that the pigments in the paint “clump together” to create a pronounced, grainy surface. This fantastic effect is ideal for creating beautiful works of art! The paints dissolve easily and are suitable for all watercolor techniques. They can also be easily mixed with other watercolor ranges from the Schmincke brand. To increase the granulating effect and achieve unusual color shifts, simply mix the granulating paints. We recommend testing them first, as some paints are more dominant while others have a subtler effect. The color-shifting effect also changes depending on the mixing ratio and the range of colors. As a rule, the rougher and more textured the paper, the greater the granulating effect. More absorbent papers require a little more water. Satin papers hot-pressed are not suitable.
