Classic Two-Step Crackle Varnish - 2 x 50 ml
Two-step crackle varnish is water-based and suitable for creating a cracked surface with a very smooth, leather-like feel. Use a brush to apply a coat of the first component to a previously decorated object. Once the first step is completely dry, use a brush to apply the second step. As it dries, the second coat will crack. You can highlight the cracks by rubbing coloring material into the surface. The pattern of the cracks depends on the direction of the brush strokes and the thickness of the first and second components. Once completely dry, your artwork will have a clear matte finish and be water-resistant.

It’s nice to work with, and the cracks are fine and look very antique. It’s a great set for the price, and I used it to beautifully finish an old mirror frame.
The two-step system takes a little more time, but the finished cracked surface looks completely professional. I’m happy with my choice.
